town meeting report
I hope to see you tonight at Town Meeting, Monday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Essex High School auditorium, 2 Educational Drive, Essex Junction. I’ll also be attending the Essex Community Dinner beforehand at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria.
In preparation, I’ve put together a Town Meeting Report, so you can see a snippet of the issues that I’ve been hard at work on over the past two months in Montpelier.
It’s two pages in length: click on the link above or the image (to the right) to access its contents. If you’d like me to snail-mail you a hard copy, please email me your physical address: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don’t forget to vote in our municipal elections tomorrow, Tuesday, March 5, 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. We have a contested race for Essex Select Board with some stellar candidates running. These folks provide vital representation at the local level. Here is a sample ballot to review before going to the polls.
Residents of Chittenden 8-1 district (Town outside of the Village) vote at Essex Middle School, 58 Founders Drive, Essex Junction, except for one block of constituents along Pearl Street who vote at Essex High School.
Our next Community Coffee with your Essex Reps is Sunday, March 17, 2:00-3:30 p.m. at The Nest Cafe and Bakery in the Five Corners, Essex Junction. Please join us with your ideas and questions!
NEW THIS MONTH: I’ll be hosting “office hours” every other Saturday morning, 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Sweet Alchemy Bakery & Cafe, 45 Upper Main St. Essex Junction (inside the Barns at Lang Farm). Feel free to stop by, grab a cup of coffee, and let me know what’s on your mind. I’ll be there: March 23, April 6 and April 20, to start!
